I’ve been sheltering at home for the past several weeks, watching the town I live in slowly stop moving. I never stopped to think about all the moving that goes on. Work is especially noticeable. Our factories work around the clock turning out millions of parts. Thousands of people all over the world using tools and hands to craft pieces and parts. Robots and their unrelenting cadence cutting, moving, grinding.
Then silence. All the hands idled. All the robots powered down. No tools working. Now that I’m able to get out to start preparing for the return of the motion, the moving and the noise, it’s obvious that the people and hands didn’t plan on not coming back. Water bottles, tools and partially finished parts are in every location. It looks as if they went to lunch and didn’t come back. I’m going to try to share some of this here in this blog. Untill the sleeping giant awakes.
